2015 has been a remarkable year for all of us at Interarch at every front; internal, business and overall growth of the company. Big orders coming from Ultratech Cement Ltd, Indospace, Alstom India Limited, Gamesa, CEAT India Limited made us proud to be a part of such reputed companies for providing them best of our services.

As industry experts, the company has initiated various forums like Interarch Building Innovators and Interarch Certified Builders which act as two critical kind of influencers and partners of the industry, providing them a community to share ideas during the year. Various closed group seminars were conducted in different parts of the country under the Building Innovators platform. Interarch has conducted seminars and knowledge sessions in various educational institutes of India like Sharda University, Acropolis Technical Campus, Pillai College of Architecture and many more.

In the year 2015, Interarch completed largest clear span Steel buildings in India, 100 M clear span for Ultratech Cement and G+7 storey building for a hospital. On the industry front we are quite upbeat about the growth of construction sector in the coming year. Logistics & Warehousing Industry in India

Logistics sector in India is expected to touch US$200 billion by 2020 & India’s warehousing requirement is expected to grow at an annual average rate of 9% to 1,439 million Sq. ft in 2019 from 919 Sq. ft in 2014. Government is also bringing favorable policy changes are which are expected to impact the warehousing sector in India. These include the introduction of the Goods and Service Tax (GST), National Policy on Handling, Storage and Transportation, and increasing Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and dedicated logistics parks and Free Trade Warehousing Zones (FTWZ) are fostering the growth of the logistics market in India and also helping identify it as an independent sector by the government.




Automotive Industry in India

The Indian auto industry is one of the largest in the world with an annual production of 21.48 million vehicles in FY 2013-14.The automobile industry accounts for 22 per cent of the country's manufacturing gross domestic product (GDP).The overall passenger vehicle segment has 14 per cent market share.

India is also a substantial auto exporter, with solid export growth expectations for the near future. Sales of commercial vehicles in India grew 5.3 per cent to 52,481 units in January 2015 from a year ago, according to Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Sales of cars also grew for a third month in a row to 169,300 units in January 2015, up 3.14 per cent from the year-ago period.


FMCG Sector in India

The consumer durables market is expected to reach US$ 12.5 billion in 2015 and US$ 20.6 billion by 2020. Urban markets account for the major share (65 per cent) of total revenues in the consumer durables sector in India. There is a lot of scope for growth from rural markets with consumption expected to grow in these areas as penetration of brands increases. Also demand for durables like refrigerators as well as consumer electronic goods are likely to witness growing demand in the coming years in the rural markets as the government plans to invest significantly in rural electrification.

Telangana coming up with additional 1000 acres of land seeking investment from Aerospace companies in 2015

Telangana, the youngest state in India, is expanding its existing aerospace special economic zone near Hyderabad international airport with an addition of 1,000 acres. The Hyderabad Aerospace SEZ is the first exclusive park for aerospace companies in the country. Telangana government has identified 1,000 acres additional land to accommodate new industries.

Under the new policy, all mega projects (with investment of Rs 200 crore) will get clearance within 15 days. The government has also promised that it would take action against the concerned departments if they fail to clear the proposals in the stipulated time frame.

West Bengal

Economy of West Bengal is considered as one of the rapidly developing strata of the state. Agriculture and service sector being the prime ingredients, there are numerous other commercial zones that contribute towards the prosperity of the West Bengal Economy. The key sectors that form the very base of the state's Economy are Fisheries, Agriculture, Industrialization, IT Sector, Tourism & Power Sector.

The West Bengal government was a little late to take off, but it has initiated and completed several e-Governance initiatives. They include West Bengal State Wide Area Network (WBSWAN), E-district initiatives, Common Service Centre (CSC), State Portal and Service Delivery Gateway etc. Some of the departmental e-Initiatives included the following:

What should you check before finalizing a pre-Engineered Building vendor?
   

An owner or buyer should check the following points in a Pre-Engineered Building Manufacturer before placing an order:

  • Company last 5 years Turnover
  • Details of plant and machinery with actual visit to the plant and head office
  • Check Design & Engineering center
  • Number of employees on pay roll of the company
  • Details & specification of raw material being used by company
  • Schedule and transparency in terms of finished goods inspection at factory and at actual site
  • Site visit to a project under execution
  • Check list of large projects executed over last few years
  • Quality plan followed by company
  • Presence of local marketing and projects office in various locations
  • Copy of purchase order and completion certificate awarded by the company
 
How to increase life of your pre-Engineered Building: Periodicity of Maintenance
   
Periodicity of maintenance is dependent upon the environmental zone and pollution level in which the building is located. In PEB the core maintenance is required for the steel roofing & cladding. At Interarch we recommend following simple maintenance period to be followed for steel buildings
